At the University Sorbonne, she graduated master’s degree in French Literature. Also, she got a degree of Art and Archeology and a degree of Film from Louis Lumière College.

Euzhan Palcy started her journey of the director in Franch. She debuts in the movie Sugar Cane Alley (1983) which was shot for less than $1,000,000. As mentioned earlier this movie has won more than 17 international awards in which Venice Film Festival Silver Lion and Coppa Volpi awards have included. Then in 1989, she directed a movie named A Dry White Season with the help from the writer André Brink. Later, in 1992, she made two movies Simeon (1992) and A Voice For History (1994).

Then she directed and produced the movie  Ruby Bridges in 1998. Whereas this movie won 4 awards which include, The Christopher Awards, The Humanitas Prize, the National Educational Media Network Gold Apple and best performance Young actress award Young Artists Awards.
