Furthermore, An American automobile designer was born on October 13, 1963, in Santa Barbara, California, USA. His father, Sam Foose, worked in a company called Project Design and also, a big car enthusiast and his mother Terry Foose, was a simple housewife. Later in 1982, he attended the Art College of Design but had to drop out in between due to the financial difficulties. Foose stated to the Art Center to complete his education after working for four years at Clenet Coachworks.

Talking about Chip Foose’s personal life, Chip began his career by working on automobiles at age seven for his father’s company, Project Design, in Santa Barbara, California. Foose served full-time for Sterenberger Design and part-time for Boyd Coddington after graduating in 1990.

Further, with Hot Rods by Boyd facing bankruptcy, Foose left his position and with his wife, Lynne started his own automotive and product design company called Foose Design in Huntington Beach, California in 1998. Later in 2003, Foose gained more exposure as a result of a TLC documentary on his design and creation of a modified 2002 Ford Thunderbird called the Speedbird.

The TLC program Overhaulin’ started to air with Foose as the star of the show in 2004. Besides, Foose launched a line of die-cast replicas of many of his famous designs partnering with the makers of Johnny Lightning in the creation of JL Full Throttle in 2006. Foose started limited production (50 vehicles in total) of the Hemisfear in 2007.

By Foose in 1990 during his time at the Art Center and publicly unveiled at the SEMA trade show in November 2006, also known as the Foose Coupe, he designed the Hemisfear. Later in 2007, Foose helped to start the Ridemakerz customizable toy cars business. Foose continues to serve Foose Design and provide design consultations to the Big Three automakers as of 2010.
